My sister is using your book, Hooked on Raw. Is "soup" made in the vita-mix considered "cooked"? Please explain. Thank you so much. M

Dear Monica,

The Vita Mix does have the capability to cook the soup. However, soup made in the Vita Mix is considered uncooked if you do not leave it in there too long. If you just put in the ingredients, blend them to soup consistency, and then turn the machine off, it would be uncooked.

If after blending to soup consistency, you let the Vita Mix keep on blending, then at some point the machine will heat up the soup.

Cordially,

Rhio
