Camu
Camu (Myrciaria Dubia) is a low-growing shrub found throughout the Amazon
Rainforest, mainly in swampy or flooded areas. The plants bear round
orange-colored fruit which have recently attracted world-wide attention.
For years the scientific community has known that camu camu berries
provide the richest and most bio-available source of vitamin C on the
planet. However, their availability has been significantly limited as
they grow only in remote, hard-to-reach areas of the Amazon Rainforest.
However, we are now able to offer you a 100% natural camu camu berry
concentrate powder standardized to 20% naturally occurring vitamin C.
These camu camu berries are wildcrafted and hand-harvested by indigenous
Amazon peoples during the annual flood season and are carefully selected
at the optimal stage of vitamin C development.
After harvesting, the berries are stored at the processing facility
at temperatures just above freezing to preserve their vital nutrients
and stringent temperature controls are maintained during the entire
concentrating process. The berries are gently concentrated in a cold-liquid
extraction and then the syrup is filtered to remove any fruit solids.
The concentration is then dried in a vacuum at low temperature to protect
its fragile, heat-and oxygen-sensitive vitamin C. This results in an
unusually potent concentrate without the need for any added ascorbic
acid - a truly natural vitamin C product. Our camu camu concentrate
is blended with pure, nutritive manioc root powder to ensure a free-flowing
and stable product, avoiding the use of any potentially genetically
modified material such as maltodextrin. One half gram of Camu Camu provides
100 milligrams of complex food-form vitamin C, along with its naturally
occurring bioflavanoids, anthocyanins and other vital co-factors.

Is Your Vitamin C Supplement... Really Vitamin C?
Ninety-nine percent of all vitamin C supplements are ascorbic acid, calcium
ascorbate, magnesium ascorbate or potassium ascorbate. Despite marketing
claims, these laboratory-produced molecules are not natural vitamin C.
They are chemically synthesized molecules, often made from genetically
modified corn sugar. These synthetic molecules mimic only one of the numerous
life-supporting molecules found in 100% natural vitamin C.
In the 1930s, Dr. Szent-Gyorgi won the Nobel Prize in medicine for
